Ebook About
After facing her nightmares head on, Keira soon finds her troubles have only just begun and if she thought mortals were dangerous then being hunted by the world’s most powerful beings will spin her further into a web of supernatural destruction. Keira can’t help seeing the handsome man before her, she can’t help the dreams that consume her and neither can she stop him from wanting her. But the controlling man that follows her every move, isn’t the man she’s dating but the man that’s hunting her. Now it’s down to the only man with enough power to keep her safe and he doesn’t play well with others. Nor does he take kindly to people trying to take what belongs to him and Keira belongs to only one man....Dominic Draven. Will the fight for their love be enough to survive the new world she is forced to live in and more importantly, can she survive being with the King of the Afterlife?!Warning: This book not only has sexual content but also two high sex drives and one possessive Alpha male used to getting his own way! This book has been written by an UK Author with a mad sense of humour. Which means the following story contains a mixture of Northern English slang, dialect, regional colloquialisms and other quirky spellings that have been intentionally included to make the story and dialogue more realistic for modern day characters. And please note this is the 2nd book in a 12 book saga, which means you are in for a long and rocky ride. So put the kettle on, brew a cuppa, grab a stash of snacks and enjoy! Thanks for reading

Book The Two Kings (Afterlife Saga Book 2) Review :

It is clear the author did not heed, in the least, the criticisms from her first book. Every single paragraph contains either run-on sentences; poor or lacking use of punctuation (learn to use commas); contains improper word usage ('lead' instead of 'led'); or mixes past with present participles within the same sentence. What is so tiresome about the copious errors is that they should be beyond adult English speakers/writers with at least a 7th grade education -- I've graded high-school papers with better grammar, spelling, punctuation, and editing/proofreading. Dyslexia is only an excuse if editorial services, whether through friends or professionally, are an impossibility. One of the most striking problems is the over use of 'as' to continue a sentence that should or could be broken up into two sentences, or written in a clearer manner using different wording. Sadly this makes an imaginative work almost impossible to get through.Insofar as the plot goes, this book begins to read more like two middle-school preteens in deep infatuation combating all the angst of young love, interspersed with adult sex scenes, than an adult woman navigating the vagaries of her millennia-old angel/demon lover's world. Seriously, WHO except a weak willed, sad enabler would beg her lover not to leave her after witnessing him commit what she thought was a cold-blooded murder? I had to update my review to one star at the point of the plot that Draven set Kiera up to see him with another woman to make her jealous, rolling my eyes at her stupid, weak, pathetic response. REALLY? SHE felt guilty, she felt remorse, but it's okay for HIM to be an overly possessive, distrusting, a-hole that wants her to stay away from male friends, limit her time with female friends, and get her isolated from them -- one key sign of an abusive partner by the way. This is the point a real adult with maturity and poise would be DONE with such a dysfunctional relationship and move on to something healthier and more worthwhile. Still, while I often thought the actions of the female lead were childish and ridiculous (which is what caused me to re-think giving it two stars and downgrade it to one), the overall world created her showed great creativity and imagination. In a further update to my review as I struggle through this, the author seriously needs to do more basic research before writing. Besides the whole foreign language usage debacle that is more sad than cool, there are serious factual errors: There are NO Kodiak grizzly bears in Europe. Grizzly bears, or North American Brown bears (Usus arctos horribilis), are a separate sub-species of brown bear from the Eurasian Brown Bear (Usus arctos arctos). The term/name grizzly is fairly specific to North America, from grisly for 'fearsome' as the term adopted by Lewis and Clark on their exploration of the Louisiana Purchase lands ca. 1804, to describe the nature of the bears they encountered hence the 'horribilis' in the genus name; and Kodiak grizzly (Usus arctos middendorffi/horribilis) being the largest of that sub-species - its common name Kodiak being even more specific to this genus which is found on Kodiak archipelagos of southwest Alaska. That this author continues such horrific and copious writing and editing mistakes into her second book, despite very specific and serious criticism from her first, gives me pause about reading further into the nine book series. It is also definitely cause for cautioning others about the frustrations of this and her other works.
I do wish that Keira was better in believing in herself. She allows Draven to dictate her life so much. However she is growing and even with her past she is finally standing up for herself. She is finally get more answers and coming out of her shell. I love that her character is growing.
